Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday with the All Share Index experiencing a slight decline, losing 0.47 points to settle at 8,847.01 points, marking a decrease of 0.01 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 292.5 million shares exchanged, valued at KWD 84.5 million, approximately USD 257.7 million, across 20,385 transactions. The Main Market Index dropped by 7.13 points, ending at 8,230.72 points, a decline of 0.09 percent. This was achieved through 166.8 million shares traded in 11,269 transactions, with a total value of KWD 32.7 million, roughly USD 99.7 million.
In contrast, the Premier Market Index showed a slight gain of 1.13 points, closing at 9,437.38 points, an increase of 0.01 percent. This was accomplished through the trading of 125.6 million shares in 9,116 transactions, valued at KWD 51.7 million, or approximately USD 157.6 million. Meanwhile, the bourse Main 50 Index rose by 43.74 points, ending at 8,803.15 points, despite a decrease of 0.50 percent, with a stock volume of 109.9 million shares transacted in 7,058 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 22.4 million, about USD 68.3 million.
