Kuwait Bourse Sees Mixed Performance as All Share Index Gains

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday with the All Share Index gaining 19.53 points, closing at 8,862.87 points, marking an increase of 0.22 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a substantial volume of 803.6 million shares, valued at KWD 184 million (approximately USD 651.3 million), were traded through 35,828 transactions. Despite the overall positive performance of the All Share Index, the Main Market Index experienced a decrease, falling by 38.19 points to 8,414.10 points, which represents a decline of 0.45 percent. This was achieved through 463.6 million shares traded via 22,258 transactions, with a total value of KWD 77.4 million (approximately USD 236 million).

In contrast, the Premier Market Index saw a rise, gaining 34.90 points to reach 9,412.74 points, reflecting an increase of 0.37 percent. This was achieved through 340 million shares being traded across 13,570 transactions, with a total value of KWD 106.6 million (approximately USD 325.13 million).

Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index saw a decline, dropping by 94.98 points to 8,747.69 points, a decrease of 1.07 percent. This performance was based on a stock volume of 325.4 million shares traded in 14,610 deals, valued at KWD 58.6 million (approximately USD 178.7 million).
