Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday with the All Share Index gaining 5.47 points to reach 8,983.54 points, marking an increase of 0.06 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 154.6 million shares exchanged hands, valued at KWD 42.18 million (approximately USD 128.6 million), across 11,752 transactions. The Main Market Index recorded a rise of 46.59 points, closing at 8,323.10 points, which represents an increase of 0.56 percent. This movement was supported by the trading of 74.8 million shares through 6,312 transactions, amounting to KWD 15 million (around USD 45.7 million).
Conversely, the Premier Market Index experienced a slight decline, losing 4.27 points to settle at 9,591.48 points, a decrease of 0.04 percent. This was the result of 79.7 million shares being traded via 5,440 transactions, valued at KWD 27.16 million (roughly USD 82.8 million).
Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index showed positive activity, increasing by 54.47 points to end at 8,754.67 points, up by 0.63 percent. This was achieved through a stock volume of 49.5 million shares exchanged in 3,793 deals, with a total value of KWD 11.3 million (approximately USD 34.4 million).
