Kuwait Bourse Sees Mixed Results Across Indices

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday with mixed results across its indices. The All Share Index recorded an increase of 18.27 points, closing at 8,962.06 points, marking a rise of 0.20 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 198.5 million shares exchanged, with a value of KWD 56.4 million, approximately USD 172 million, across 14,587 transactions. The Main Market Index witnessed a 0.40 percent rise, reaching 8,260.68 points with 97.6 million shares traded in 7,845 transactions, valued at KWD 19.8 million, or roughly USD 60.3 million.

Conversely, the Premier Market Index experienced a decline, losing 23.73 points to settle at 9,578.90 points, a decrease of 0.25 percent. The session saw 100.8 million shares traded through 6,742 transactions, with a total value of KWD 36.5 million, approximately USD 111.3 million.

In contrast, the Main 50 Index rose by 11.28 points, closing at 8,695.07 points, an increase of 0.13 percent. This was achieved through a trading volume of 65.7 million shares, across 5,148 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 15 million, or around USD 45.7 million.
