Kuwait Bourse Suffers Significant Losses as All Share Index Drops

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday with the All Share Index experiencing a decrease of 158.92 points, ending at 8,565.58 points, marking a decline of 1.82 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 292.14 million shares were traded, with a value of KWD 99 million, approximately USD 301 million, across 23,494 transactions. The Main Market Index fell by 88.21 points, closing at 8,023.11 points, down by 1.09 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 105.3 million shares across 9,213 transactions, valued at KWD 16.2 million, roughly USD 49.2 million.

The Premier Market Index recorded a loss of 184.07 points, closing at 9,123.94 points, which is a 1.98 percent decrease. This was seen through the trading of 186.7 million shares in 14,281 transactions, valued at KWD 82.7 million, approximately USD 251.4 million.

In addition, the bourse Main 50 Index decreased by 64.97 points to reach 8,523.34 points, marking a decline of 0.76 percent. This occurred through a trading volume of 79.8 million shares, executed in 6,281 deals, with a total value of KWD 12.8 million, approximately USD 38.9 million.
