Kuwait, Saudi Arabia Discuss Enhancing Security Cooperation

Doha: Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah and Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, who is on a visit to Kuwait, discussed issues of mutual concerns, ways to enhance security cooperation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on mechanisms for coordinating joint efforts to confront regional and international challenges, and to ensure the security and stability of the two countries and the region.

The meeting reviewed a number of issues related to the exchange of information and expertise, cooperation in combating organized crime, strengthening the security training system, and developing human capacities, as well as joint work in employing the latest security technologies and systems. It also addressed coordination in the field of border security to ensure its safety and enhance joint monitoring, in a manner that contributes to safeguarding the security and stability of both countries.

The two sides affirmed the strength of bilateral relations and their shared commitment to enhancing security integration and intensifying coordination on various issues to serve common interests and achieve security and stability for their peoples.
