Kuwait city: Kuwait's stock exchange closed Tuesday's session on a modest upswing, with the All-Share Index inching up 9.46 points (0.11 percent) to settle at 8,921, signaling a tempered yet resilient investor sentiment.
According to Qatar News Agency, trading volumes were robust, with 330.7 million shares exchanged across 20,351 cash transactions, totaling KD 108.8 million (approx. USD 331.8 million). The Main Market led the charge, climbing 28.36 points (0.35 percent) to 8,216.94, buoyed by 136.8 million shares traded in nearly 10,000 deals worth KD 24 million (USD 73.2 million).
Meanwhile, the Premier Market posted a marginal gain of 5.32 points (0.06 percent), closing at 9,536.45, with 193.8 million shares changing hands in over 10,000 trades valued at KD 84.7 million (USD 258.3 million). The Main 50 Index outperformed, jumping 44.77 points (0.52 percent) to 8,593.22, driven by 71.9 million shares across 5,065 transactions worth KD 14.11 million (USD 43 million).
