Doha: The State of Kuwait welcomed Saturday the ceasefire agreement reached by the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which aims at incorporating the latter's bodies into the Syrian state's institutions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry expressed hope that this agreement would contribute to enhancing peace, security, and stability in Syria, thus fulfilling the Syrian people's aspirations and promoting their national unity.

The statement reiterated Kuwait's support for the efforts made by the Syrian government to safeguard Syria's sovereignty over all its territories and to maintain its territorial integrity and unity. It also praised the compliance of all Syrian parties with the US efforts that facilitated this agreement.
