Kuwaiti Cabinet Approves Draft Decree Regulating Digital Trade Sector

Kuwait city: The Kuwaiti Cabinet on Tuesday approved a draft decree-law regulating the digital trade sector. This decision came during the Cabinet's weekly meeting held today.

According to Qatar News Agency, the draft decree-law establishes a comprehensive legal framework to govern the digital trade sector and aims to balance economic freedom with regulatory oversight. This initiative is part of the state's efforts to keep up with the rapid developments in the digital economy, which have led to growth in commercial activities and electronic services, thereby necessitating modern legal regulation.

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that the draft decree will serve as the legislative framework for the digital commerce sector in Kuwait. It will establish the fundamental rules governing commercial practices conducted through technological means.
