Kuwait city: HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, met at the Bayan Palace with HE President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani. During this significant meeting, HH the Amir congratulated HE Sheikh Joaan on his recent election as President of the OCA. The Amir expressed Kuwait's unwavering support for sports institutions, including the OCA, to enhance the sports movement across Asia and promote cooperation among member states.

According to Qatar News Agency, HH Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, also held a meeting with HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani. The Crown Prince extended his congratulations to Sheikh Joaan on his new role as President of the OCA and expressed his hopes for the continued success of Asian sports initiatives under Sheikh Joaan's leadership.
