Latvia President Receives Message from Palestinian Counterpart on Bilateral Relations

Riga: Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics received a letter from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas concerning bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, Rinkevics received the message during his meeting today with Palestinian Foreign Minister Varsen Shahin, who is now visiting Latvia.

During her visit, Shahin also met with her Latvian counterpart Baiba Braze. In the meeting, Shahin emphasized the importance of Latvia recognizing the State of Palestine, stating that such a step represents a genuine investment in achieving security and stability in the region and aligns with European values that advocate for justice and human rights.
