Lebanese Army Deploys Units to Naqoura in Southern Lebanon

Naqoura: The Lebanese army said that its units have begun deploying to the town of Naqoura in southern Lebanon in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon - UNIFIL, after having been stationed around the town.

According to Qatar News Agency, this move comes in conjunction with the meeting of the five-member committee supervising the ceasefire agreement mechanism and the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from there.

It added that deployment will be completed over the coming phase and that specialized units will conduct a technical survey of the town to remove unexploded ordnance.

The Lebanese Army Command urged citizens not to approach the area and to adhere to the military units' instructions until the deployment is completed.
