Beirut: Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi met on Tuesday with a delegation from the French National Assembly's foreign affairs committee to discuss recent developments in Lebanon.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, Raggi discussed the government's efforts to liberate territories occupied by Israel, the state's monopoly on the use of force, the implementation of necessary reforms, reconstruction efforts, and extending the UNIFIL forces' mandate.
The Lebanese Foreign Minister highlighted the importance that Lebanon attaches to France and other friendly nations' support to pressure Israel to withdraw from Lebanese occupied territories and halt its aggressions.
For its part, the French delegation said that the visit to Beirut affirms France and its parliament solidarity with Lebanon and their support for its government in overcoming the significant challenges it faces.
