Lebanese PM, French FM Discuss Financial Reforms, Security Situation in Lebanon

Beirut: Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam discussed Thursday with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot the financial reforms and the security situation in Lebanon, in addition to developments in the regional landscape and their repercussions on the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, during their meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the two sides also discussed the trajectory of the financial and economic reforms initiated by the Lebanese government. Particular emphasis was placed on the financial gap law as a pivotal step toward restoring financial order and recovering deposits, in a manner that strengthens international confidence and opens the door to broader support and cooperation with international partners.
