Lebanese President and Iranian Foreign Minister Focus on Bilateral Relations and Regional Issues

Beirut: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun received Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations and prominent regional issues. During their meeting, Aoun emphasized Lebanon's interest in advancing relations with Iran on a state-to-state basis. He highlighted the importance of rebuilding areas affected by the Israeli war on Lebanon as a priority for the state.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese President expressed hope for a positive outcome in the US-Iran negotiations, noting that such progress would have beneficial effects across the region. In response, the Iranian Foreign Minister underscored the friendly ties between Lebanon and Iran and expressed Iran's desire to enhance bilateral economic and commercial relations.
