Lisbon, HE Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Republic of Lebanon Dr. Abdallah Bou Habib hailed the State of Qatar's role in achieving the humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip.
Following his meeting with his Portuguese counterpart Joao Cravinho in Lisbon, Bou Habib said that there is no military solution in Gaza, emphasising that the current time is opportune to push international dynamics towards diplomatic efforts to find a sustainable solution to the Palestinian cause, according to the information office of the Lebanese Foreign Ministry.
He added that the humanitarian pause must continue and expand, and the Qatari role is important and needed.
The humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip went into effect on Friday after the unprecedented Israeli aggression since Oct. 7, resulting in the martyrdom of over 15,000 Palestinians, including 6,150 children and more than 4,000 women, in addition to over 36,000 injuries.
In another context, the Lebanese Foreign Minister said that constructive dialogue must be held to address the issue of displacement and the humanitarian and economic situation in Syria.
