Leverkusen Signs Dutch Goalkeeper Flekken

Leverkusen: German football club Bayer Leverkusen announced on Tuesday it has signed Dutch international goalkeeper Mark Flekken from English club Brentford on a contract until 2028.

According to Qatar News Agency, the club stated in a press release that it acquired the 31-year-old international goalkeeper, highlighting his extensive experience and distinguished performance, which caught the attention of national coach Louis van Gaal. Flekken joined the Dutch national team in March 2022.

Flekken has participated with the Dutch national team in European Championship qualifiers and the UEFA Nations League, and was part of the squad for Euro 2024.

Bayer Leverkusen finished last season in second place with 69 points, 13 points behind champions Bayern Munich.
