Meanwhile, Southampton's only goal was thanks to Will Smallbone in the 45+1 minute.

According to Qatar News Agency, Liverpool's victory brought their total points to 70, making them 16 points ahead of second-place team, Arsenal, which will face Manchester United tomorrow, Sunday. Southampton, on the other hand, remained in 20th place with 9 points, making them one of the closest teams to relegation.
