Liverpool: Liverpool signed right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. The 24-year-old Dutchman joins the Premier League champions after four-and-a-half seasons in Germany, including a 2023/24 campaign in which he starred for Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen side as they stormed, unbeaten, to the Bundesliga title.
According to Qatar News Agency, Frimpong also helped Leverkusen to lift the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) in that historic 2023/24 season, followed by the DFL-Supercup in 2024/25. The Amsterdam-born Frimpong began his career in the youth ranks at Manchester City before heading to Celtic in 2019.
