Liwan: Liwan Design Studios and Labs announced that it will hold Liwan For Good, a special charity event taking place during the holy month of Ramadan on Wednesday. The venue will transform into a magical bazaar setting where visitors can connect with local charities, businesses, and creatives.
According to Qatar News Agency, "Liwan For Good embodies the spirit of Ramadan by bringing our community together in the act of giving," Director of Liwan Design Studios and Labs, Aisha Bint Nasser Al Sowaidi, said. She added, "as we enter the third year of this initiative, we are proud to see how it has grown into a meaningful tradition that celebrates both creativity and compassion. We welcome everyone to join us and be part of this special event dedicated to making a difference." Al Sowaidi continued, saying that the event exemplifies Liwan's dedication to combining artistic excellence with social impact, providing a platform for charitable organizations to raise awareness about their causes.
Visitors can give back to local aid organizations such as The Ministry of Social Development and Family, where local families in need will sell homemade products, including food, crafts, and textiles under the umbrella of "homegrown". Qatar Charity will collect a portion of proceeds from sales at the event to be donated to their Palestine fundraiser, while Education Above All will have students selling handmade objects with proceeds supporting their initiatives.
Within the atmosphere of a nighttime bazaar, visitors can discover offerings from local businesses and creatives while supporting charitable causes. The event will feature several workshops including candle-making by Candeel and ceramic painting by Ceramic Cube. Liwan's own resident Norman Dipo will offer a special workshop from the Prototype Lab, while Design Doha will also host creative activities.
The evening will showcase local creatives and businesses including Venus Karma, The Bold Project, Cards Cult, Gloss N Glam, Fkrah, Cats Etc, Rebab Abdulla, Kaltham Pavillion Jewellery, Moamen Ghanem, Munamnama Press, Infinite Thought, The Style Vault, and others. Food and beverages will be available from vendors including The Lemonade Guy, Red Tiger, Dream Cream, and Irtishaf.
Guests will have opportunities to explore Liwan's studios, interact with members and residents, and learn about their creative processes, all while contributing to important social initiatives during this season of giving. Liwan For Good will take place Tomorrow from 20:30 to 23:30 and will have a free of charge entry.
