Manama, The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) received a delegation of U.S. Congress staff at the Protection and Grievances Centre. The delegation was briefed on Bahrain's efforts to maintain labour market stability and safeguard the rights of all parties involved. The visit highlighted the measures, systems, and mechanisms in place to ensure justice and stability in the work environment, as well as the Kingdom's efforts in combating human trafficking. The delegation was also introduced to the functions of the Protection and Grievances Centre, the first of its kind in the Middle East, which provides comprehensive services including preventive support, legal guidance, and shelter for victims and potential victims of human trafficking. The visit also covered the awareness programmes and initiatives undertaken by the LMRA in collaboration with international organisations and diplomatic missions, aimed at supporting efforts to combat human trafficking and protect the rights of workers through coordina tion with relevant entities.
