Doha: The fifth round of the 9th Qatar Equestrian Tour (Longines Hathab) wound up Saturday at the Qatar Equestrian Federation's (QEF) outdoor arena. The event is organized by QEF in partnership with Al Shaqab-a member of Qatar Foundation. According to Qatar News Agency, the final day of the event showcased dressage events, featuring broad participation from skilled riders. Qatari rider Hamad Nasser Al Marri clinched the Introductory Test title with a total of 68.333 points in the dressage competition, while Hajrah Khan secured the Introductory Test - Level 2 title with 70.00 points. In the Junior Level 2 Introductory Test, Mohammed Faisal Al Marri captured first place with 68.621 points, whereas Michelle Grimes won the Level 1 Dressage Test with 74.817 points. In other events, Sultan Jassim Al Suwaidi took the top spot in the Future Riders 90cm class, finishing in 21.96 seconds on Violet, followed by Fahad Talal Al Nuaimi in 23.70 seconds on Croat, and Mohammed Al Mutairi in 24.28 seconds on Baccarat. In t he Bronze Tour 120cm, Jaber Rashid Al Ameri claimed first place in 44.74 seconds on Apollon, with Khalid Al Hadi second in 46.02 seconds on Capion, and Hamad Nasser Al Qadi third in 50.79 seconds on Deep Water. In the team competition for the same round, Team The Dome snagged first place with a total of 99.90 seconds, followed by Team Ajwad in 110.78 seconds, and Al Adeed Al Shaqab Team third in 113.83 seconds. In the Diamond Tour 150cm, Mohammed Saeed Haidan won in 32.83 seconds on Quick, Khalid Al Eid finished second in 34.34 seconds on Q Line, and Hamad Nasser Al Qadi took third in 38.98 seconds on Edison. The Tour continues across 14 rounds this season, further advancing Qatari riders' skills and promoting Qatar's regional and global equestrian presence, backed by the nation's sophisticated sporting infrastructure.
