Madrid Hosts Opening of FITUR 2026 International Tourism Fair

Madrid: The 46th edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR 2026) has opened in Madrid, bringing together representatives from 161 countries in one of the world's leading tourism events.

According to Qatar News Agency, the five-day exhibition places a strong emphasis on innovation and digital transformation, and features a range of specialized sections highlighting the diversity of the global tourism industry. These include sports tourism, audiovisual tourism, cruise tourism, and language tourism, alongside initiatives focused on women, human resources, and inclusive tourism for people with disabilities.

FITUR, which will be officially inaugurated on Thursday, serves as a major global platform for the tourism sector. It provides a meeting point for leading international companies and a showcase for top destinations and the latest developments shaping the industry worldwide.
