Suva: A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck south of the Fiji Islands on Thursday, according to the US Geological Survey. The quake occurred at a depth of 503.1 kilometers. According to Qatar News Agency, there have been no reports of casualties or damage so far. The Fiji Islands lie within the Pacific Ocean's "Ring of Fire," a seismically active zone where earthquakes and aftershocks frequently occur, sometimes with significant intensity.
