Doha: Thirty-three people have been injured in a gas pipeline fire near the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

According to Qatar News Agency, the state fire department reported that six of the injured had been hospitalized due to the blaze of the gas pipeline operated by state-owned energy company Petronas. Media reports indicated that several homes near the site were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
