However, Manchester City bounced back strongly, netting five goals through Kevin De Bruyne (33'), Omar Marmoush (36'), Mateo Kovacic (47'), James McAtee (56'), and Nico O'Reilly (79').
With this win, Manchester City climbed to 4th place in the standings, now with 55 points, while Crystal Palace remained in 11th with 43 points.
This victory has further boosted Manchester City's chances of qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League.
