Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC), represented by the environmental affairs sector, has launched a series of seminars aimed at training new employees. This initiative is part of MECC's strategy to enhance professional awareness among employees and acquaint them with the sector's roles and responsibilities in environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources.
According to Qatar News Agency, Assistant Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs at the MECC, Yousef Ibrahim Al Hamar, highlighted the crucial role played by the environmental affairs sector in safeguarding the local environment and meeting the nation's commitments under international agreements and treaties. Al Hamar emphasized the importance of developing national talent and enhancing their expertise in the environmental sector as a key aspect of the Ministry's strategy for developing specialized human resources.
The seminars are designed to train and empower national talent, promoting effective integration into the institutional work environment. They cover various topics, including the roles of the environmental affairs sector, applicable environmental legislation, and an overview of significant international agreements and treaties related to environmental issues.
This initiative is part of a broader plan to prepare new employees, equipping them with the knowledge necessary to perform their duties efficiently. It aims to enhance their ability to adapt to institutional work requirements, contributing to the Ministry's priorities and supporting the goals of sustainable development and Qatar National Vision 2030.
