Doha: The 2025-2026 winter camping season will kick off on Wednesday across various regions of the country, following intensive preparations and regulatory measures put in place by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to ensure a safe and sustainable season running through April 15, 2026.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry, represented by the Winter Camping Affairs Organizing Committee, announced the reopening of registration for the season in all available areas nationwide, effective from Oct. 15 through Nov. 15, 2025. Registration will be handled through the ministry's website and its Bee'ah app.
The initial registration period for the season began earlier this month and proceeded smoothly, thanks to the ministry's efforts to upgrade the digital infrastructure of the registration system. The operations room fielded feedback and inquiries from the public via the unified contact center (16066) and various social media channels, addressing them promptly as needed.
The ministry confirmed that the season's capacity stands at 3,000 campsites, with the potential to increase numbers in certain areas based on demand and on-site pressures. Registration fees are set at QR 3,000, plus a mandatory insurance payment of QR 10,000, which must be settled electronically via bank cards and is refundable according to established guidelines at the season's end.
Changes to a campsite's location are permitted only before final confirmation, for a fee of QR 1,000. No modifications are allowed after confirmation. The ministry stressed that renting out campsites or advertising them constitutes a clear violation, resulting in immediate permit revocation and reservation cancellation.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change reaffirmed its commitment to organizing a camping season that preserves Qatar's natural environment and promotes environmental awareness among community members. It urged the public to adhere to approved environmental guidelines and procedures, and to contact the unified call center at 16066 for round-the-clock inquiries and technical support, ensuring a safe and sustainable camping experience.
