Doha: The 39th General Assembly of the Arab Military Sports Federation (AMSF), along with the 61st executive committee meeting and the sessions of its technical, media, and scientific committees, wrapped up today in Doha on Saturday.
According to Qatar News Agency, these meetings were held under the patronage of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani. The meetings were chaired by President of AMSF and President of Qatar Military Sports Federation Brigadier General Dr. Yousef Dossmal Al Kuwari, who was elected as president of the federation for a second term until 2028.
Attended by heads of delegations from 18 Arab member states of the Federation, alongside a delegation from the Federation's General Secretariat, the meetings featured the election of the federation's president and the executive committee members for the 2025-2028 cycle.
Having deliberated on the agenda's items, the meetings addressed the roadmap for staging Arab military championships and events during the 2025-2028 period, identifying timelines, host countries, and designated supervisors from among the executive committee and affiliated committees. The sessions also explored avenues for bolstering and elevating the stature of Arab military sports.
In addition, the meetings reviewed and approved the recommendations of the technical, media, and scientific committees, the schedule of the sporting activities for 2025, in addition to designating supervisors from among the executive committee members and affiliated committees, with the federation's final financial statement being formally endorsed.
The meetings wound up with the exchange of commemorative shields among the heads of delegations of the participating Arab states, in an atmosphere that demonstrated the spirit of collaboration and Arab solidarity in the realm of military sports.
