Mercedes-Benz Profit Halved in 2025

Berlin: German automaker Mercedes-Benz continued to record a decline in its profits and revenues during the year 2025. In a statement issued on Thursday, the company reported that profit in 2025 had fallen by around 49 percent from 10.4 billion euros to 5.3 billion euros.

According to Qatar News Agency, Mercedes-Benz attributed this decline to the impact of customs duties, negative exchange rate effects, and intense competition in China. The statement noted that cost-saving measures of more than 3.5 billion euros in the passenger car division contributed to partially mitigating the pressures faced by the company.
