Doha: The Department of Meteorology has warned of poor horizontal visibility and thundery rain accompanied by strong winds on Sunday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the department's daily weather report indicates that inshore conditions until 6:00 pm today are expected to be misty to foggy at times, becoming partly cloudy with a chance of scattered rain, which may be thundery initially. Weather conditions will turn relatively cold to cold during the night.
Offshore conditions are forecast to be hazy to misty at times, with partly cloudy skies and a chance of scattered rain, possibly thundery at first.
Inshore winds will be variable initially, becoming southeasterly to southwesterly at speeds of 5 to 15 knots, with gusts reaching up to 25 knots during thundery rain. Offshore winds will be mainly southeasterly, ranging between 5 and 15 knots, with gusts of up to 25 knots during thundery rain.
Sea conditions inshore are expected to range between 1 and 3 feet, rising to around 5 feet with thundery rain. Offshore seas will range between 2 and 4 feet, increasing to around 8 feet later with thundery rain.
Visibility inshore is expected to range between 4 and 9 kilometers, dropping to 2 kilometers or less at times, while offshore visibility will range between 4 and 9 kilometers, falling to 3 kilometers or less occasionally.
