Doha: The Department of Meteorology has forecast hot to very hot weather inshore today, accompanied by slight dust in certain areas during daylight hours and occasional cloud cover.
According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions are expected to be partly cloudy, transitioning to hazy by nightfall. The report also warns of strong winds and high seas, which are anticipated to impact maritime activities.
Inshore winds are predicted to be northwesterly, blowing at speeds of 6 to 16 KT, while offshore winds will range from 5 to 17 KT, with gusts reaching up to 22 KT. The sea state inshore is expected to vary from 1 to 3 feet, potentially rising to 5 feet, whereas offshore conditions could see waves from 2 to 4 feet, escalating to 7 feet.
Visibility is projected to range between 5 to 10 kilometers inshore and 4 to 10 kilometers offshore, which may affect driving and navigation in the affected areas.
