Doha: The Foreign Ministers of Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt have voiced their deep concern about the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. This crisis has been intensified by adverse weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and storms, leading to severe challenges in humanitarian access, shortages of essential supplies, and delays in the delivery of materials needed for basic service rehabilitation and temporary housing establishment.
According to Qatar News Agency, Syria has expressed its gratitude to Qatar for its unwavering support of the Syrian people. Engineer Amer Al Ali, Chairman of the Syrian Central Authority for Control and Inspection, highlighted Qatar's role in promoting cooperation between Syrian institutions and their international counterparts.
In other news, the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club is set to host a horse race on Saturday for the HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani Cup and Prize at the Al Rayyan grass track.
Meanwhile, HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, attended the opening day at Al Shaqab as Tour 1 of the HH The Father Amir Prix 2026 officially commenced in Doha.
