Doha: Old Doha Port has successfully concluded the inaugural Mina Pre-Owned Boat Show, Qatar's first-ever exhibition dedicated to the resale of marine vessels. Originally scheduled for three days, the event was extended by one additional day following overwhelming interest, ultimately running from May 5 to 8, 2025, along the scenic Mina Corniche. The open-air event attracted a strong public turnout and sparked promising conversations as well as revitalized the concept of resale in the maritime sector.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event brought together private sellers, marine companies, and prospective buyers for an engaging resale showcase that featured a wide range of pre-owned vessels - from jet skis and fishing boats to traditional dhow boats. The exhibition drew individual owners, specialized maritime companies, and interested buyers to an interactive resale platform, featuring a wide selection of pre-owned marine vessels, from jet skis to fishing boats and traditional dhows.
The show featured more than 70 exhibitors, including private sellers, marine service providers, and top-tier boat dealerships from across Qatar and the region. It also welcomed maintenance service providers on-site, offering practical support for both sellers and prospective buyers. The exhibition led to the successful sale of several marine vessels, reflecting both the demand and the market potential for quality pre-owned vessels in the region. Several exhibitors reported generating strong business leads, reinforcing the show's value not only as a sales platform but also as a hub for marine sector networking.
Visitors enjoyed a vibrant marketplace atmosphere, enhanced by a curated selection of food and beverage outlets, expert maintenance providers, and marine-focused workshops designed to educate and inspire. Interactive workshops on vessel maintenance and first-time ownership drew steady attendance, particularly among young buyers and new marine enthusiasts.
