Davos: HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani held meetings with several ministers on the sidelines of the 2026 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. HE Sheikh Faisal engaged in discussions with HE Minister of Commerce of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi; HE Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef; HE Minister of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait, Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Ajil; and HE Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, Melanie Joly.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meetings centered on enhancing cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, and industry. The ministers exchanged views on key topics on the Forum's agenda and discussed several issues of mutual interest, aiming to foster stronger ties and collaborative efforts among their respective countries.
HE Minister of Commerce and Industry also took part in a high-level session titled "Strategic Partnerships and Investments in the Metals Sector." This session focused on exploring ways to strengthen international cooperation in the metals sector, emphasizing its importance in supporting global supply chains and promoting sustainable industrial development.
