Doha: HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani conducted a field visit to several factories in the Small and Medium-Sized Industries Zone, focusing on the building, construction, and metal industries. This visit was part of the ministry's initiative to monitor developments within the national industrial sector, assess the status and needs of these facilities, and support their advancement plans.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Minister examined the factories' products, production capacities, operational processes, and modern technologies employed in production lines. These technologies play a significant role in enhancing performance and optimizing product quality. During the tour, HE the Minister received explanations about the factories' future expansion and development plans, aimed at enhancing their competitiveness in both domestic and regional markets.
Upon concluding the visit, HE the Minister emphasized the ministry's steadfast commitment to supporting the industrial sector. This sector is considered a fundamental pillar of economic diversification, aligning with the Qatar National Manufacturing Strategy and the Third National Development Strategy's objectives. The ministry aims to develop the industrial business environment by providing incentives and facilitation for investors and streamlining procedures. This approach contributes to attracting industrial investments and fostering the growth of national industries.
