Doha: HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani conducted a field visit to several food and beverage sector factories at the Small and Medium Industries Zone on Saturday. This comes as part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's (MOCI) commitment to following up on developments in the national industrial sector and understanding its needs and future plans.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the tour, His Excellency was briefed on factories' key products, their production capacities, operational workflows, stages of production, and technologies in use. In addition, His Excellency was presented with factories' expansion plans and development programs.

At the end of the field visit, HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry affirmed the Ministry's commitment to carrying on with its efforts to accelerate the growth of the industrial sector. This initiative is in line with Qatar's National Manufacturing Strategy and the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030. The Ministry aims to achieve these goals by providing local factories with facilities and incentives, improving the industrial business environment, and supporting investors through facilitating procedures and receiving feedback, all aimed at enhancing high-quality investments and developing national industries.
