Minister of Education and Higher Education Inaugurates Seventh Edition of Visual Arts Creators Exhibition.

HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi inaugurated today the 7th edition of the Visual Arts Creators Exhibition:E Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi inaugurated today the 7th edition of the Visual Arts Creators Exhibition, which is being organized in partnership with Msheireb Museums at 'Bin Jelmod House' hall in Msheireb Museums, under the theme 'Art Reflecting the Shift Towards Sustainability.' HE Minister of Education and Higher Education was briefed on the exhibition with a detailed explanation by the participants, which consisted of students from public, international, and private school across primary, preparatory, and secondary levels. According to Qatar News Agency, Her Excellency praised the distinctive artistic and creative works that reflect the extent of interest in environmental and sustainability issues. The exhibition, which will run until Nov. 30 and feature 400 artworks created by students, teachers and vi sual arts supervisors, aims to highlight artworks created by students and teachers on sustainability topics in innovative and artistic ways, in addition to discussing the philosophy of sustainability in art, and enhancing students' and community's awareness of sustainability issues, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. On this occasion, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), Maha Zayed Al Ruwaili, expressed her pride in the role of the 7th edition of the Visual Arts Creators Exhibition in highlighting the talents of students and teachers, noting that this exhibition reflects the ministry's vision of enhancing the role of art as an effective tool to raise community awareness, especially with regard to sustainability, which is a fundamental pillar of future development. For his part, General Manager of Msheireb Museums, Abdulla Al Naama said in a statement that the 7th edition of the Visual Artists Creators Exhibition is one of the susta inability-focused art exhibitions that Msheireb Museums is interested in, pointing out the distinguished level of creativity and great awareness among the students participating in various paintings in this exhibition, as many educational workshops and seminars were held on the sidelines of the exhibition. Al Naama stressed that the cooperation with MOEHE is in line with Msheireb Museums' basic vision, which is to support education and focus on future generations in the cultural scene in general and to educate school students in particular. He also pointed out that the exhibition reflects a commitment to supporting research and creativity, as the artworks on display and the events held on the exhibition's sidelines will be documented as part of an ongoing research project on the role of cultural institutions in promoting community dialogue and sustainable education. The exhibition will include a special art symposium on Nov. 7 at the ministry's theater, alongside several specialized art training workshops a ccompanying the exhibition. A group of arts and education experts will participate in these workshops.
