Doha: HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater affirmed that the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is a tangible realization of Qatar's vision in human development and knowledge localization, without abandoning cultural and religious identity. She added that the university reflects the country's progress in education and development over the past 25 years.
According to Qatar News Agency, Her Excellency praised the university's advanced academic structure, noting that it currently offers 77 academic programs, including 11 master's degrees, houses approximately 200 laboratories, holds 21 international academic accreditations, and maintains 65 local and global partnerships, in addition to 30 sports facilities within the university.
Her Excellency's statements came during a speech delivered at the graduation ceremony of the university's Class of 2025, where she expressed pride in the graduates, emphasizing that they are part of an inspiring national story, one that began by attracting global colleges such as the College of the North Atlantic and evolved into producing nationally developed educational models capable of global competition.
HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater reflected on her professional journey, said that the key to success lies in believing in second chances and renewed beginnings.
Addressing the graduates, Her Excellency said that they are all standing on the threshold of a new beginning, calling them to write it as they wish, and asking them not to let past experiences or present limitations dictate its course, adding that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
HE the Minister emphasized that graduation marks a new beginning and an opportunity to reshape one's path, highlighting the importance of continuous effort and perseverance despite obstacles. She stressed that success is not measured solely by visible results, but by dedication and sincere intention.
In concluding her speech, Her Excellency expressed her best wishes for the graduates' professional future, commending the role of the university, faculty members, administration, and Board of Trustees in achieving this success.
