Doha: HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari met separately with HE Minister of Finance of the People's Republic of China Lan Fo'an, and HE Minister of Finance of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Ahmed Shide, on the sidelines of the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. During the meetings, relations between the State of Qatar and both the People's Republic of China and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia were reviewed, particularly in the economic and commercial fields, as well as ways to enhance them.

According to Qatar News Agency, aspects of cooperation were also discussed during the meeting. The discussions aimed at exploring potential opportunities and strengthening the collaborative efforts between Qatar, China, and Ethiopia, focusing on economic and commercial development. The meetings underscored the commitment of the involved parties to foster stronger bilateral relations and mutual interests in various sectors.
