Doha: The Police Academy, represented by the Graduate Studies College, recently welcomed HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri to its assembly for participants in the "Security Command and Staff" program. The visit aimed to foster dialogue on pivotal areas of collaboration between the Ministry of Labor and security services, focusing on the enforcement of laws and regulations pertaining to migrant labor. According to Qatar News Agency, HE Dr. Al Marri elaborated on the collaborative efforts to bolster the enforcement of residency and work permit regulations. He also stressed the necessity of awareness campaigns designed to inform foreign workers about their rights and responsibilities, while ensuring employer compliance with relevant regulations. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to regulate the labor market, manage worker recruitment, and support comprehensive development, in alignment with Qatar's National Vision and the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. During the session, the Minister highlighted the Ministry's ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior. This partnership aims to enhance the work environment and safeguard workers' rights, reinforcing the country's commitment to sustainable labor practices. The meeting concluded with an interactive discussion, where HE Dr. Al Marri engaged with program participants on the key issues addressed during his address.
