Geneva: HE Minister of Labour, Dr Ali bin Samikh Al Marri held high-level meetings on the sidelines of the International Labour Conference in Geneva with HE Minister of Human Resources of the Federation of Malaysia, Steven Sim Chee Keong; Minister of Labour and Home Affairs of the Republic of Botswana, Hon. Pius Mokgware. These discussions focused on cooperation in the labour sector and on measures to enhance and develop partnerships.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meetings aimed at fostering collaboration between Qatar and the respective countries of Malaysia and Botswana in the field of labour. The discussions revolved around strategies to improve bilateral relations and to explore potential areas for collaboration to enhance workforce capabilities and address labour-related challenges.
Both meetings highlighted the importance of international cooperation in the labour sector, emphasizing the need for strategic partnerships that can lead to mutual benefits and improved labour standards. The ministers agreed to continue dialogue and exchange of expertise to further strengthen these partnerships in the future.
