Minister of Sports and Youth: Arab Cup Celebrates the Best of Arab Football

Doha: HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth and Chairman of the tournament's Local Organizing Committee (LOC), emphasized the significance of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, highlighting its impact beyond the realm of football.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Minister expressed pride in hosting the tournament for the second time, stating that it will celebrate Arab football and demonstrate the unifying power of sports. He noted that the FIFA Arab Cup holds a special place for the region's people, serving as a celebration of passion and identity that unites players and fans.

HE the Minister further elaborated on Qatar's established reputation for hosting major sporting events, stating that the Arab Cup is part of this legacy. The tournament presents an opportunity to reaffirm Arab unity, showcase the region's rich culture, and highlight the potential of its people. Qatar is eager to welcome fans from the region to enjoy the tournament.

The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 will take place from December 1 to 18 under FIFA's supervision. Qatar will host the Arab Cup in 2025, 2029, and 2033. FIFA determined the nine teams for direct qualification based on international rankings issued on April 3. The preliminary round is set for November 25 and 26, just before the finals.
