Doha: HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi engaged in a phone call with HE Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini. The discussion focused on the cooperation between Qatar and UNRWA, addressing the humanitarian challenges in the Gaza Strip, and supporting Palestinian refugees.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Minister Al Khulaifi reaffirmed Qatar's steadfast support for UNRWA, highlighting the agency's essential role in maintaining humanitarian operations and providing essential services to millions of Palestinians amidst the ongoing crisis in Gaza. He emphasized the importance of the international community's commitment to prevent any hindrances to UNRWA's operations, cautioning that any weakening of its capabilities could result in severe humanitarian repercussions.
