Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Affirms Importance of GCC Partnership with EU

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi affirmed the importance of the partnership of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) with the European Union (EU), especially in the field of humanitarian cooperation and providing development assistance to the conflict-affected countries, crisis areas and least developed countries, in a way that embodies human values in their highest form and enhances global peace and security.

This came during an intervention by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs on Monday, during a business breakfast in which HE President of the European Council Charles Michel invited Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Foreign Ministers of the GCC countries and HE GCC Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf, at the headquarters of the European Council in Brussels.

On the sideline of the breakfast, they reviewed aspects of cooperation between the GCC countries and the EU in all fields, especially in the security, peace, economic and commercial relations, and a number of issues of common concern.
