Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Engages in Strategic Talks with US Undersecretary

Washington: HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, met with HE Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States of America, Allison Hooker, in Washington. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of the peace agreement between the Republic of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on the close strategic relations between Qatar and the US, exploring ways to support and strengthen these ties. The dialogue also covered joint efforts that contributed to the peace agreement between Rwanda and the DRC, as well as the ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel.

The talks extended to the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories, Lebanon, and Syria, and included a range of topics of mutual interest. During the meeting, HE the US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs expressed appreciation for Qatar's role in mediation and conflict resolution. She acknowledged Qatar's continuous efforts to support regional and international stability through peaceful and diplomatic means.
