Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs Engages in Key Discussions at Davos

Davos: HE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed met with several ranking officials on the sidelines of his participation at the World Economic Forum (Davos 2026), currently taking place in Switzerland.

According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency met with HE Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babis, HE Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness of the French Republic Nicolas Forissier, and HE Director of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of the Swiss Confederation Helene Budliger. The discussions focused on enhancing trade and investment ties between the State of Qatar and these countries, expanding the scope of joint economic cooperation, facilitating trade, and supporting partnerships among the business communities. The meetings also included exchanging views on recent regional and international economic developments.

His Excellency also engaged with several representatives of global companies, including David Sacks, the White House's Special Advisor for AI and Crypto, who also chairs the Presidential Council of Advisors for Science and Technology. The meeting aimed to enhance the partnership with the private sector globally.

HE the Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs also participated in the GCC-UK meeting held today, which included participation from Their Excellencies GCC Ministers of Commerce. The meeting addressed topics of joint interest in the commerce and investment field and explored ways to enhance ties between both sides.
