Minister of State for International Cooperation Attends Key Arab Consultative Meeting in Cairo.

Cairo: HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad participated Monday in an Arab consultative meeting, along with prime ministers, foreign ministers, and ministers of state from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Tunisia, Mauritania, and Palestine. The meeting also included representatives from the Sultanate of Oman, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). It was held on the sidelines of the Cairo Ministerial Conference to Enhance the Humanitarian Response in Gaza. According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on critical regional developments, especially the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. Emphasis was placed on the importance of de-escalation and the need to restore calm in the region by achieving a comprehensive and immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The discussion highlighted the urgency of accelerating the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip and confronting attempts to undermine the Pal estinian cause, annex the West Bank, and displace the people of Gaza. The meeting also addressed developments in Lebanon and Syria. Participants expressed hope that the ceasefire in Lebanon would signify the start of restoring calm and stability. They underscored the need for continued coordination and consultation to mitigate the risks facing the region, aiming to contribute to the restoration of regional peace and security.
