Doha: HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater and HE Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem honored 39 outstanding Qatari students at the Institute of religious studies preparatory secondary school for boys.
According to Qatar News Agency, the awarding ceremony was attended by the institute's educators and staff. It began with a Holy Quran recitation followed by religious rhymes performed by a group of students from the institute. Then, there was a welcoming speech by the master of ceremonies.
In her speech, HE Al Khater recounted a story that took place in the Prophet's (PBUH) Mosque, highlighting the true meaning of life. Her Excellency urged students to cling to the Holy Quran rules, which constitute the path of truth in life.
For his part, HE Al Ghanem expressed his pride in the outstanding students as the loyal sons of Qatar who have elevated the name of the nation and set an example of diligence, hard work, and good conduct.
His Excellency added that the honorees' academic excellence is the fruit of their determination and sincerity, and that they will play a major role in building the homeland, preserving religion, and serving society with solid knowledge, profound understanding, and righteous deeds.
Calling on the students to make this stage of their educational journey a springboard for further excellence, His Excellency urged them to continue seeking knowledge with sincere intentions, adhere to virtuous morals, and embody the values of Islam in all fields.
He concluded his speech by thanking teachers and parents for their support and education.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed to the outstanding students in an atmosphere that expressed pride and appreciation for their efforts and achievements.
At the conclusion of the event, the two ministers emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the two ministries to enhance the quality of religious education and instill the values of citizenship and academic excellence, thus contributing to the development of a conscious and qualified generation capable of serving society and the nation.
