Doha: The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs' General Directorate of Endowments - center for Waqf Studies will hold the 2nd YouTube webinar on Thursday on the occasion of the release of the 3rd edition of the international scientific journal, Al Waqf. HE Director of General of the Directorate of Endowments, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Thani, who is also the journal's Editor-in-Chief, said that the webinar would consist of two part, the first addressing public waqf investment partnerships in the Kingdom of Morocco: the use of endowed real estate and contemporary financing alternatives, setting rules and regulations on the construction of and investment in endowed real estate in a manner consistent with their unique nature characterized by perpetuity and continuity. His Excellency added that the second part of the webinar will discuss a case study on waqf disputes in Sri Lanka, which will highlight their causes, prevention methods, resolutions, and relevant laws, emphasizing t hat the journal addresses real social issues and needs, along with offering appropriate solutions and recommendations.
